DECLAN DURST (40) is a technophobe, ex-marine who assumes the role of an android assassin (dubbed a serial killer by the government). To stay alive, he sleeps underground in the sewers. Coming back from a successful hit, Declan encounters zombies. They go at him, as well as an old android from the Tillman series, TILLY (built twenty years ago and looks in her twenties) who’s on the escape from a machine deconstruction factory. Tilly takes them to a base, where she has never been before. A former CIA cyber security officer, JAYDEN REINER (36) welcomes her in but denies Declan entry. Tilly persuades Jayden to let him inside, as he helped her fight the zombies. Tilly begins to question why she knew this placed existed without ever going there before. Declan lunges at her, fearful at her supposed sentience. Tilly plays a defensive fight until members of Jayden’s small, pro all humans and androids coexisting, rebellion group, hold Declan back.

Declan leaves the base via a secret passage. He returns to his last spot in the sewers, where his equipment lies. Zombies have managed to penetrate the sewers. They pursue him but due to the last fight, ammo is short. Declan resorts to going back to the base. Jayden lets him back in, but a zombie follows. Tilly seemingly kills it. Jayden wishes for the group’s doctor AIDEE (29) to examine the carcass for any inkling into how they came to be. Aidee follows through with his command. Declan discovers there are only pistols and bullets at the base, as well as knives. Declan and Jayden agree that isn’t good enough to combat a zombie outbreak. Tilly puts herself up for a weaponry heist at a military base, saying that it’s too risky for anyone else to go but Declan refuses to wait around on an android doing his work for him. Declan escapes the base and heads to the military base on his own. Declan gets shot in the shoulder by an android defending the base. Tilly rescues him from being killed by them. They manage to leave on a military truck with a less-than-optimal haul.

Jayden rants at Declan for screwing up a potential bigger haul. Declan’s had enough. He goes to leave again, now kitted out just for a zombie’s screech to echo through the base. Declan and Tilly head straight to Aidee. She body blocks the door to the room containing the zombie. She’s okay, due to her cautiousness. Declan replaces Aidee as the body blocker. He yells at her to have everyone gather in one spot armed to the teeth. Aidee does so. Tilly worries because her ai brain isn’t giving her a solution to the situation. Declan goes in a fucks the zombie up until there is nothing but little tid-bits of remains. Tilly stands stunned. Declan has the group have a meeting. Aidee starts by going on about her findings, meanwhile patching up Declan. The zombie had a virus within it that had been rumoured to have been created because of the Israeli government to kill all the Palestinians years ago. Back then, it slowly turned people and the zombies weren’t as physically threatening, therefore the Israeli military contained the situation, and it was claimed as a ‘war won’. Jayden concludes that the Israeli government sold it to the American government and they had their scientists ‘improve’ upon it. Declan states the why. To take out the working class, everything is under the rich’s control. Declan rallies the group to infiltrate the lab. He enforces that Aidee stays behind.

The group get turned and gunned down by androids. Declan and Tilly come out as the only survivors with a large container filled with ingredients that could possibly create a cure. Aidee gets working for the next few months. Declan and Tilly try to recruit people with help from Jayden on the tech side. Aidee finds success after trial and error; however, the recruitment hasn’t gone to plan. Jayden tries to convince Declan and Tilly to wait to recruit more people but the two refuse, seeing it as a futile. Declan and Tilly go out together with their cure weapons. The zombies get too much. Tilly gets swamped by them. She accepts the fact she will die. Declan persists on his mission. When the situation comes to the point wherein, he knows death is inevitable, Jayden urges him to retreat but Declan takes his pistol and ends himself, satisfied his fallen comrades in the war would think he’s done his job.
